Au Pair in America

Posted under on

Established in 1986, Au Pair in America created the first U.S. government-designated au pair programme and has since welcomed more than 120,000 young people from over 60 countries into host families across the United States.

The programme combines live-in childcare with cultural learning, study at accredited U.S. colleges and travel, offering young people aged 18 to 26 with prior childcare experience a 12-month opportunity to develop independence and enjoy meaningful cultural exchange.

Participants complete pre-arrival training and attend a three-day in-person orientation in the U.S. They also receive additional training from the American Red Cross and AAA. Dedicated local Community Counsellors provide ongoing support through regular check-ins, au pair social events and 24/7 emergency assistance.
